Drain Inspection

A drain camera is used to conduct a drain check. This tiny camera is connected to a 200-foot semi-rigid wire that runs through your plumbing system. Our plumbers can see what’s going on in your drains from a little portable screen thanks to the camera’s modest built-in light.

Our plumbers can assess a variety of concerns during the drain check, including pipe material, negative slopes, broken pipe sections, debris buildup causing clogs, and much more.

When we’re dealing with a clog or an issue on lines that are difficult to reach, we usually recommend that our customers undertake a drain inspection. However, we believe there are also advantages to clients requesting drain inspections once a year or every few years.

The majority of plumbing problems appear out of nowhere. You can discover debris and obstruction accumulation, tree root damage, and pipe corrosion before backups occur in your basement floor. We can help you identify the problem and understand what’s going on with your drains before there are serious damages.

Roots of Trees

Tree roots are a typical plumbing issue that may wreak havoc on your plumbing system. Tree roots seek out water, so if your pipes leak even slightly, tiny growing roots will make their way into your sewer system.

When this happens, serious problems might arise, ranging from broken pipes to flooding. Given enough time, tree roots can rip away rock and concrete, so drain inspections are essential, especially if you have a lot of trees on your property.

Monthly inspections allow you to stay ahead of potentially dangerous concerns and avoid costly repairs in the future.

Debris & Dirt

Dirt and debris are frequently at the root of a plumbing system’s downfall, from blocked kitchen sinks to clogged toilets. Grease, fats, oils, tissue wipes, cotton pads, and chunks of food are just a few of the items that shouldn’t go down the drain.Hair, dead skin, and dirt can pile up over time, serving as a magnet, attracting additional debris until the pipe is totally clogged.

Pipes that have been damaged

Depending on the age of your system, sewer pipes are composed of a variety of materials, including clay, plastic and metal. Unfortunately, no remedy is impervious to the effects of time and deterioration. As the ground settles around plastic pipes, they begin to split and sag. Leaks can occur when plastic pipes have faults in the glue joints or other poor installation concerns.

Cast iron pipes will rust over time. This might happen slowly or quickly, depending on the pH levels in your water. Bellies, leaks, tree root access, and even complete disconnection from the plumbing system can all be caused by corroded pipes. Residents of Quebec are encouraged to evaluate the pH of their drinking water. If the water is hard, a water softener is recommended to avoid rapid corrosion and other problems. Hard water has the potential to harm both your plumbing and your health.

We use state-of-the-art cameras to inspect your drains, allowing us to swiftly identify problems.
